  Lisa Batchelder Artist Statement   My work deals with the human condition and emotional duress. I pull from a vast well of knowledge of personal experiences; such as anxiety and the feeling of being invisible. It is an emotional and physical reaction to have no voice. This is a powerless and helpless place. I create imagery that evokes and portrays these moments. I do this in the hopes that the viewer will connect to my work with their own experiences. One of my greatest hopes to accomplish through my art is to let the viewer know they are not alone.
