 I am super excited to get in. I believe in the hustle, say no until you say yes. I have been doing publications with Artstonish magazines and small shows. I have Hit a few really nice shows such as art on the 30th art at the Ashton Gallery in California I won Honorable mention. You get a rush like hey maybe I do not suck. I have been doing shows in Brooklyn, New York at the green point on line but still making connections. I did an art tour with Travion Washington he was really an exciting up and coming contemporary artist.  He  is out of Washington state. London is a biggie. 454 four artist were chosen world wide to this show their art it is the  second largest art show in the world under Venice so I am excited!!! I have realized It is not how good you are it about the hustle and the heart you put behind it. You can not stop at just one thing you have to keep going so what's next. What do I want to be Working artist ? Teacher? Professor? 

Yes to all? 

Hustle get there! There are all kinds of art for all kinds of eye balls for all kinds of art you have to go find the eye balls that like yours. You have to give your art a voice or some one will do it for you. It will not make since to everyone. It has to come from with in you and have your voice to connect with others voices.  What my art means to me is the capturing of motion, mark making, and movement, find the thing that is hidden with in me and express that. I use the elements and erosion through the mediums of clay and glaze and printmaking. I  like to make atmospheres to invite viewers in so they can experience my work in a atmospheric setting.  My prints back drop my ceramics so there is  a collaboration between the two. My work is themed by series beautiful on the surface with hints of foreboding underneath.

 New work and vision  Side ways  These pieces will be incorporated together. This orange image above    is the first image of a lino-cut reduction. This plate will have a total of around five drops with the last pull of coarse being black. I do tend to layer on top also we will see where that leads me with an ah-ha  moment. The ceramic pieces will fit into the narrative of the print where the viewer will be lead to a meaning but not told. I work with the idea of feeling of being invisible and seen but not heard. These pieces will also deal with body dysmorphia. These are specific and particular forms of abusive. I am in hopes that others will connect with their own experiences as I do.    Print making  as an artist we all have things we love to hate and our own trials . One of the biggest things as an artist we face is the vision of what is in our minds eye that we want to create verses the gap of what we actually make with our hands.   Our vision verses reality and as artist we struggle and claw to close the gap. This is where I am with printmaking the beautiful struggle of the minds eye and closing the gap.   Lisa Batchelder Ominous Blue Tentacles    Reductive, relief, print  with French posh ware and chin'colle  40x30in (2020). This is piece has hand carved lino-cut pieces, on an acid etched background with  French posh ware, then Chin colle paper for the final drop.   Pieces like this are tedious and time consuming.
